As i sit here looking out of the window i see all the glory of what is high in the sky, the fluffy clouds as they sail on by, the wind in the big tree and the birds gliding.
I see what you see no matter where you are, Tonight i am aching to hold you knowing that your birth should be approaching although it was sooner than expected. My heart feels very heavy tonight and tonight its not just you baby boy.
If you could have ever looked in my eyes you would have seen your mummy for who she is. a mother who is so wrapped up in her children and is nothing withought them.
Gonna light a candle for you now and for your other Brothers and sisters who would have so loved you.
I will also light a candle for those who find it hard to realise that grief is a powerful torture in the hope that they can understand a way to encourage others rather than causing more pain.
Goodnight to all my little mateys love mum ( mummy) xxx

It`s now been just over 3 months since I lost my baby son Oliver to a neural tube defect. I feel deflated and nothing seems to take this pain away.When i try to go to sleep I am now getting night terrors, i catch my breath with them and its reaaly getting me down because i am just so exhausted all the time.
I dont know how people expect me to be in a good mood right now and i am trying my best to try and not be so grumpy, but people need to understand that i am still getting over the birth, my hormones are running high and not even got my son to hold.
Only in time will i get better with this, not sure how long it takes to heal a broken heart, maybe never.
All i have done since i woke up this morning is cry, I am so fed up with crying! I can hardley talk because my throat is so sore, and i have been suffering with a high temp since yesterday also Hot and cold :(
I have just finished my house work so am gonna wrap myself up in duvet and do some colouring with my daughter.
I wish some people were more understanding of my situation, its not like I want to feel this way, I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy.

Facing a daily challenge in grieving, its the hardest thing to do. I wake up and for a split second the pain is not there and then suddenly remember that it is and it hurts so much. I will never be the same again, I am a changed person no longer Debbie only in the way i look.

I have been researching on the internet about Folic acid and the benefits it has to us and for developing babies.
I was not aware when i fell pregnant with Oliver how important it was to take the correct dosage for a women my age. I have always know about Folic acid as i have 5 healthy children and did take Folic during each pregnancy.
I am adding from wikipedia what folic acid is and the importance it has to us.
Folic acid (also known as vitamin B9,[3] vitamin Bc[4] or folacin) and folate (the naturally occurring form), as well as pteroyl-L-glutamic acid, pteroyl-L-glutamate, and pteroylmonoglutamic acid[5] are forms of the water-soluble vitamin B9. Folic acid is itself not biologically active, but its biological importance is due to tetrahydrofolate and other derivatives after its conversion to dihydrofolic acid in the liver.[6]
Vitamin B9 (folic acid and folate inclusive) is essential to numerous bodily functions. I was not aware when i fell pregnant with Oliver how important it was to take the correct dosage for a women my age. I have always know about Folic acid as i have 5 healthy children and did take Folic during each pregnancy.

Yesterday was an extremely awful day for myself and many other angel mums. It suprises me how people take pleasure in stealing other angels mums pictures of their angels.
I think its distgusting and totally disrespectful!
I wish there was something that could be done to protect our pictures but there dosnt seem to be unless we copyright every single one of them.
I may look into it though as really dnt want olivers pictures used for sick sites.

Women having a chatYou need to take start taking folic acid BEFORE you become pregnant. Why?
Because folic acid can help to prevent birth defects such as spina bifida which occur in the first 28 days of pregnancy – before many women even know they are pregnant.
Up to 70% of neural tube defects (NTDs) including spina bifida can be prevented by taking the right amount of folic acid at the right time.
How much should I take?
Folic Acid Pills
"Health professionals recommend that if you could become pregnant, whether you are trying for a baby or not, you should take a supplement of folic acid each day. This is because it is difficult to tell exactly when you conceive."
The standard dose is 400mcg daily. Ideally, this should be taken for at least 3 months before conception and also during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
BUT you are likely to need a larger dose (5mg) if you are in a higher risk category e.g. if you or your partner have a family history of NTD, or you have diabetes, epilepsy, coeliac disease or are very overweight.
If you think you may need the higher dose it is very important that you see your GP to discuss this BEFORE you get pregnant.
Where can I get Folic Acid?
Tablets containing the standard dose (400mcg) of folic acid are widely available in chemists and supermarkets. If you need the higher dose (5mg) you will need to ask your GP for a prescription.
Do I really need to take Folic Acid even if I have a healthy diet?
Yes! Although it is good to eat foods which are high in folates (the natural form of folic acid) and foods that have folic acid added to them (such as fortified cereals), you still need to take folic acid tablets as well to prevent neural tube defects.
